A practicing dental technician since 1979, Laura holds a certificate in Dental Assisting, an Associate's Degree in Dental Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health Teaching. She is certified in Orthodontics, Crown & Bridge and Complete Dentures and she is PTC Certified in Porcelain and Crown & Bridge.

Laura owned her own full service dental lab for 7 years then moved to serve Dental Services Group's Davis Laboratory for 22 years. At DSG Davis, she developed their Ortho, Splint and Sleep departments, then served as their corporate Director of Training & Education as well as their Director of Quality & Compliance. Laura's experiences and achievements include working with top TMJ Specialists and Dental Sleep experts in the US. She invented and developed proprietary products for her company, which are widely known in the industry today. She is the co-developer of the DSG Rem-e-deze, assisted the development of DR. Jonathon Parker's APM Positioner, and is the sole developer of the DSG Relaxer. In 2012, Laura joined the Microdental Laboratories team where she was Senior Director of Quality, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. For both of these conglomerate laboratory groups, Laura facilitated earning them multiple DAMAS certifications, successfully coached over 45 technicians to achieve their national certifications and was instrumental in the invention, patent and 510(k) submission process of several successful proprietary Class II medical device products. Laura has been manufacturing dental sleep devices since 1988 and has been an active participant with the AADSM since 1991.
Laura's honors include being the first recipient of the "John Ness PTC TVS 2000 Director of Training & Education" award and the recipient of NBC 'Distinguished Service' award for 2006. She received a 'Special Recognition for Contributions to Modularization Program Development' award, from the NBC in 2008. Among her accolades, Laura was among 5 national technical experts spotlighted in the Journal of Dental Technology's January issue "Who's Hot! 2007: The Groundbreakers"; and was featured in and on the cover of Dental Town Magazine, September 2010 issue. Most recently, she was selected as one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry for 2011, by Dental Lab Products Report.
Laura currently serves on the NADL Board of Directors and is the Immediate Past-Chair of the National Board of Certification. Laura is a visiting faculty member for the Pankey Institute, lectures for both the dental practitioner and dental technician communities, and is well published having written numerous articles for JDT, IDT, DPR, DLP, LMT, Sleep Review and Dental Sleep Practice magazines.
